Music in 7th grade consists of the students learning music theory. They start out the year reviewing the notes of the grand staff. Following that they learn key signatures, scales & chords. With the knowledge they have learned, the students each write a little song. To finish the year, they put their song on the Encore Program and print it out giving them a professional looking copy. Students also perform their composition for their classmates.
